MG Maps Global
Previously known as Photoshop WxMap, MetGraphics (MG) Maps is the next generation of the product line. MG Maps is a top-notch weather map building kit built for Photoshop. Inside the .PSD (Photoshop document) lies a powerful layered mapping system, with Blue Marble imagery as the main basemap, with custom effects layers available to make the usually very noticeable imagery look sleek & unique.
With the Global version, you get moderate resolution NASA Blue Marble basemap imagery and country outlines (as well as U.S. states) for the entire world. You can live or forecast for any part of the world and create amazing maps, all you need is Photoshop!
To make this a true weather map design kit, a set of weather symbols and other effects is included with the package, which includes dozens of high & low pressure symbol designs, rain & snow effects, satellite-like cloud formations such as cyclones and tropical systems, and much, much more. See the MetSymbol Kit for much more detail as to what's included - as usually this also sold as a separate product, but is included with MG Maps.
MG Maps requires Photoshop. If you've owned PS WxMap in the past, you'll know that when using the .PSD, Photoshop chews up quite a bit of system power, such as memory (RAM), and processor power. MG Maps 2015 uses around 10% less system memory, and actually opens up anywhere from 25 - 50% faster than the older version(s) of PS WxMap!
This is the Global Edition of MG Maps, and includes layered maps of the entire world. The size of the downloaded .zip, once unzipped/decompressed, is 1.84 GB.
If you don't have Photoshop, please refer to the MetSymbol Kit - it has all the weather symbols you'll need. You'll just need a map, or maps, to overlay these symbols & effects on. I offer my own map packs available here, if interested.
